The studio is two of us. Ashik shoots, edits, writes, takes the calls. A producer named Vidya handles logistics — permits, travel, billing.

Common questions.

Do you take on weddings or commercial events?
No — the practice is travel and brand campaigns only. For weddings I’m happy to recommend two friends who are wonderful at them.
Will you travel internationally?
Yes. I shoot India primarily but I’ve worked in Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal and the UAE. International travel adds about ₹1.5L to a budget for visa, freight insurance, and the producer’s seat.
What gear do you use?
Sony A7R V body, Tamron 35–150mm primarily, sometimes the 17–28mm. DJI Mavic 3 Pro for aerial. Insta360 X4 for action. A small Instax mini for the postcard project. The whole kit fits in one backpack.
Can I license existing photographs?
Some yes, some no. Most archive frames are available for editorial, brand and tourism licensing. Email [email protected] with the frame in mind and intended use.
How do I actually get a postcard?
Sign up on the postcards page. Every quarter, 50 hand-written postcards go out to the list. Names are picked at random; if yours comes up I’ll write you one from wherever I happen to be that month.
Do you teach 1-on-1?
Rarely — the workshop format is better. But two slots a year open for portfolio reviews / mentorship. Reach out and I’ll let you know if there’s availability.
